The National Park Service (NPS) has announced that 55 miles of the Blue Ridge Parkway are now open following the impact of Hurricane Helene. This includes sections from milepost 411.8 to 421, connecting US 276 to Black Balsam, as well as the Graveyard Fields overlook at milepost 418.8.

Additionally, the stretch from milepost 423.2 to 469, linking NC 215 to US 441 near the Great Smoky Mountains National Park entrance, is also accessible. However, officials cautioned that some areas will remain closed for an extended period as recovery efforts continue.
